MemorialCare President and CEO is New Chairman of Healthcare Leadership Council
WASHINGTON – Barry Arbuckle, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of MemorialCare, a leading non-profit integrated health system in southern California, has been named chairman of the Healthcare Leadership Council, an alliance of leading healthcare companies from all health sectors.
Dr. Arbuckle succeeds Neil de Crescenzo, president and chief executive officer of Change Healthcare as the organization’s chairman. HLC chairs serve two-year terms.
Under Dr. Arbuckle’s leadership, MemorialCare – which has over 200 sites of care and more than 12,000 employees — has experienced unprecedented growth and is considered an industry leader in evidence-based medicine, value-based provider networks, and innovative partnerships. He is the past chair of the California Hospital Association, March of Dimes-California, and the Integrated Healthcare Association.
