HLC Reacts to HHS Reorganization of Tech Responsibilities

Washington, DC: Healthcare Leadership Council President and CEO Maria Ghazal released the following statement after HHS announced a reorganization of technology, cybersecurity, data, and artificial intelligence strategy and policy functions:

“Healthcare companies are working hard to protect patients’ information and improve care across the continuum. Being successful will require a coordinated public/private approach to handling data, deploying AI, and combating cyberattacks.

“HLC has advocated for a clear and consolidated structure to help our industry better respond to this quickly changing landscape. We applaud HHS’ announced reorganization and believe it will ultimately lead to a more responsive agency.”
