New Coalition of Healthcare Organizations Focused on Improvements to Medicare Innovation Agency to be Announced Thursday

The Healthcare Leadership Council is hosting the official launch of a coalition, Healthcare Leaders for Accountable Innovation in Medicare, comprised of organizations from across the healthcare and patient advocacy spectrums, committed to improving the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) so that it is a more effective incubator for new ideas and an interactive, transparent partner with stakeholder organizations.

Coalition leaders will be joined by a range of healthcare experts to discuss CMMI-related issues, including:

  • Dan Crippen, Ph.D., former director of the Congressional Budget Office and executive director of the National Governors Association
  • Danielle Lloyd, MPH, Vice President of Policy & Advocacy, for Premier healthcare alliance
  • Tom Valuck, M.D., J.D., Partner at Discern Health and former senior vice president for strategic partnerships at the National Quality Forum and senior advisor and medical officer at CMS.
